No posts in mechandising. Well here's the first.
Today I discovered a European toy called Character Building. It is essentially a Lego clone, but one of the better ones.

They have created Scooby Doo based figures and sets. Really there not too bad. The sets unfortunately are pretty awful. The Mystery Machine was a nice attempt but really looks pretty terrible and the stickers on the actual product are cheap to say the least. The figures are the highlight of it all. Very accurate to the source material for sure.
Interestingly the first series of figures includes some SDMI monsters. Notably the Crystal Cove Freak makes an appearance although he is labelled as the Voodoo man for some unknown reason.
As much as I hate Lego clones I'd still buy a few of these if they were available in America. The article seems to imply their availability at some point for America in the future, but currently the only way to get them here would be to use Ebay (To expensive in shipping alone for my taste).
Definitely a step in the right direction for the Scooby toys. Also a mansion set is to be released in Europe for this line as well. Let's hope it comes to America.
