Starting with the THOR dvd and blu-ray release, Marvel will start doing short films called one-shots, a comic term for a stand alone issue. The first of them being "Marvel one-shot: the consultant" starring Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson. It will bridge the gap between Iron man 2 and the incredible hulk. The second will be titled "Marvel one-shot: a funny thing happened on the way to thor's hammer", which will also feature Gregg as Coulson. No clue as to when this will be available, but my guess would be on the captain america discs. Here's the link to the description and more details straight from the horses mouth. marvel.com/news/story/16398/marvel_one-shots_expanding_the_cinematic_universeSo what do you think?

The consultant was okay, 25%-30% of it is made up of footage from The Incredible Hulk, and not like stuff that was cut. I mean stuff that was actually in the movie.
It also sucks that it's not even 5 minutes long. It's interesting but not necessarily needed, in no way do you feel like "nothing made sense until this point" but it's enjoyable filler along the long and winding road to The Avengers.

Captain America was released on DVD and Blu-Ray last month and with it came the newest Marvel One-Shot: A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Thor's Hammer.
This one was much, MUCH, better then "The Consultant", though still as short. ****As Often With Me**SPOILERS AHEAD**Don't Say I Didn't Warn Ya****
As the title imply's it takes place on the road to thor, just after iron man 2. Once again starring Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson, who took a mega dose of badassdom, in a semi-hostage situation. It really reminded me of the opening of "From Dusk Til Dawn".
Our favorite Agent stops for gas at a local gas station and goes inside while it's pumping to get some mini donuts. As he bends down to make his pick all hell breaks lose as a couple of robbers come in to rob the joint. He tricks them into an ass whoopin' they won't soon forget.
Surprisingly there are a lot of laughs jammed into the 3 short minutes. Gregg really shines. And once again this wasn't needed, but unlike the previous, but I'm really glad this one was made. This feels like more then just filler to me, it feels like a mini adventure and leaves me wanting to see Agent Coulson in action again.

With the release of The Avengers today comes the latest One-Shot. Item 47 clocks in at about 11 minutes and, I think, stars Lizzy Caplan.
I'll let ya know what I think of it when I see it.
