So this year I saw Thor, Green Lantern, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2, and Captain America. And if I ignore GL, it was a great summer! Though I have to admit, I'm still gonna get GL on Blu-ray.
Thor and Cap were simply amazing. Potter was good, sad to see it go but I made my peace with the end of that franchise back when the book came out.
So what did you guys see and what did you think of them?

Captain America 9/10 Great movie!
Harry Potter 9/10 I liked this more than I thought I would.
Thor 8.5/10 A fun movie. And they pulled it off without being silly.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes 8/10 As a fan of the franchise, this was 100 times better than the last remake attempt, and probably the best sequel since the original.
X-men First Class 8/10 Didn't like this as much as everyone else, but still good.
Green L:antern 7/10 I liked this movie, but it had lots of issues. Too bad it didn't turn out better. It could have been epic.

I finally saw X-Men: First Class, on blu-ray, and the best way I can describe it is to quote George Takei "Oh My!". I loved it, it's my favorite of the franchise. I wasn't expecting much so, it pretty much blew my expectations away.
* SPOILER*
Hugh Jackman's cameo was simply brilliant and was the best Wolverine has been on screen.
I 100% agree about GL. So much potential but a wasted opportunity.

I finally saw Cowboys and Aliens. It's a pretty good movie, not great but pretty darn good. The middle got a little slow but it was more a case of "calm before the storm" then "will the agony ever end!?!?", if you've got the time I recommend you give it a spin.
